The Big Bang

some of the TY Kan Jiong Series...

now it is back with more actions........
n perhaps this is the best of all...

Date: 11/2/10 (Thu)
Time: bout 12.30pm
Place: FTZ coastal highway (the mini jambatan)

2day we had a farewell lunch for CW..... n TY is driving her Lil' Vivi.....
together with colleagues Jin Hao Lian, BC Ong n the department director KC Chung....

she drove on one of the mini jambatans of FTZ coastal highway....
going up the slope....

when goin down.....
Jin Hao Lian who sits beside saw there r a bit jam in front... den ask me to stop.....

there was still a distance between Lil' Vivi n the car in front ...
den TY stepped on the brake....
but Lil' Vivi was not stopping....

n TY keep stepping on the pedal.....

n it accelerated down the slope n .....
TY hit the driving wheel.... no air bag came out ....
the engine was still running ......
some1 is shouting.....
"step on the brake!!! step on the brake !!!"

TY stepped n stepped......
the engine did not stop.....

den Jin Hao Lian pulled the hand break.....

the car stopped....
n TY was.....

the rest of the ppl in the car went down....
n TY was.....
until some1 called me to go down.....
n TY went to see the car......

oh.... wow......
ok..... alright....

the car in front was something like a Proton Iswara.....
the driver was a Chinese..... smiling smiling.....
nothing happened to his car.... jz a lot of scratches on the bumper n the boot was a bit dented....
it hit the car before him too..... but oso minor damge only....

den the mechanics came... the Dad came......
the mechanics settle the car.....
Dad n Jin Hao Lian brought TY to the Balai Polis Traffik Batu Maung....
TY expected the police to ask me question n he will record down...
but the mechanic was telling him wat to write .....
"emmm... tulis macam ini....... ahhh... macam ini"
n his mandarin-slang bahasa seems to be better than the police..........

hmmmm....... okay........ alrite...........

okay..... now the analysis part.....
why was this happening?

Two Possibilities:

1. TY stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake....
- who knows? God knows.....

2. The brake was not functioning...
- a post-mortem had to be done on Lil' Vivi to prove this.....

this is TY's 1st big bang.....

anyway... anyhow.....
wish every1...
n.....

Hi, just went through your post by coincidence, and thought maybe I could offer u some advice.

I just came back from the US, and there's a big issue about Toyota cars recently.

The accelerator pedals on Toyota & Lexus cars are known to get stuck and the car will accelerate uncontrollably, and brakes would not work because the software that enables the brakes to override all functions were not installed.

This problem caused a fatal crash late last year, they called 911 and the conversation was recorded until the final moments of the crash.

You can read everything here:
http://news.yahoo.com/topics/toyota;_ylt=Av4bIbUrtWXrLYSlIuDfufJv24cA;_ylu=X3oDMTE2NDQ0OG1lBHBvcwMyBHNlYwN5bl9mZWF0dXJlZARzbGsDdG9waWNzdG95b3Rh

Toyota said cars from other countries are not affected, but I'm pretty sure cases like these are not reported because of our weak consumer protection agency.

I think you should consult some professionals other than people from Toyota, and let the people around you know, especially during CNY when everyone's driving their Toyotas =.=". Yours might be the 1st documented case in Malaysia, maybe?

Anyway, thankfully no one is hurt (yet), stay safe, and happy Chinese New YEar~
